Through the Pathways to Prevention program, Thomaston Public Schools works to provide mental health support to caregivers and their children through collaborative mental health partnerships, in order to reduce occurrences of abuse and neglect. We will also provide community outreach and access to resources, as well as district-wide teaching and learning opportunities pertaining to stress and anxiety management, positive parenting strategies, communication skills, self-care, parent leadership opportunities, and more! The program is a holistic approach to prevention, seeking to reduce risk factors and to increase protective factors for our students and their families.
