Welcome to PATHS School, where our mission is to provide every student with an opportunity to thrive and achieve real benefits from their middle and high school experience and be ready upon graduation for either college and/or work. We provide students with an intimate, structured, personalized learner environment that integrates social, emotional, and academic growth. The PATHS School (Positive Alternative to Traditional High School) is housed within Thomaston High School in Thomaston, Connecticut.
PATHS School is a specialized educational haven for students with emotional and behavioral concerns, serving students in grades 7-12 since 2015. We offer a therapeutic, self-contained classroom environment, along with the opportunity to participate in mainstream classes* at Thomaston High School, fostering a system that promotes and rewards positive school social and academic behavior.
* PATHS students who have demonstrated behavioral and academic responsibility have the opportunity to attend mainstream academic core and elective classes offered by Thomaston High School.

Transition planning is an integral part of the PATHS School, preparing students for their future with close collaboration between students, families, and their home district's education and support team.
A full spectrum of after-school activities at Thomaston High School is available to PATHS students, including sports, theater, band, school clubs, and more, as deemed appropriate by the PATHS Team staff.
